2008 HELEN OKTOBERFEST GROUP INFORMATION

     The Helen Chamber of Commerce invites your group to join us at the 38th annual Oktoberfest in Alpine Helen, Georgia. Oktoberfest features German Oom-pah bands that play waltzes, polkas and the "Chicken Dance". The menu features old German favorites including wurst, red cabbage, sauerkraut and German potato salad. German beers and wines as well as domestic beers and wines, soft drinks, tea and coffee are available. The dates for 2008 are September 11th thru November 2th. The Oktoberfest parade is on Saturday, Sept. 13th at 12 noon.  Our group packages are offered to groups of 25 or more. Tables will be reserved for groups  booking Thursday and Friday in September and Monday thru Thursday in October.  Our group packages are offered to groups of 25 or more for Friday and Saturday also but tables can not be reserved for Friday or Saturday. The Group Registration Form can be filled out, printed, and mailed.

RESERVATIONS "WILL" BE TAKEN FOR ALL FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS DURING OKTOBERFEST. HOWEVER TABLES CAN NOT BE RESERVED FOR THESE TWO DAYS.

Group Packages

• Package 1 - $21.00 per person Monday through Friday
  (Saturday $23.00) Gate admission and dinner.
• Package 2 - $6.00 per person Monday through Friday (Saturday $8.00) Gate admission only.
• Package 3 - FREE Sunday Gate admission.
• Package 4 - $15.00 per person, Sundays free admission and dinner.  Kitchen closes at 6:00 PM.

German Dinner

• Dinner includes your choice of One wurst or Leberkäse, choice of two sides (German potato salad, red cabbage or sauerkraut), Rye bread, dessert and beverage (excluding beer and wine).
• Food served cafeteria style.

Payment Policy

• Group rates are available only through advanced reservation and prepayment.
• Tickets can be mailed or delivered to your lodging property (Helen only). Tickets must be paid in full prior to be mailed or delivered. (MasterCard or Visa accepted)
• Final number of tickets needed must be agreed upon and paid for, two weeks prior to reservation to receive the package price.
• Once the agreed upon number of tickets are delivered or mailed and are accepted by the group, the tickets become non-refundable.

• Festhalle at 1074 Edelweiss Strasse.
• Monday through Thursday  6:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  (all evening, in and out privileges.)
• Friday  6:00 PM - 11:30 PM 
  (all evening in and out privileges)
• Saturday  1:00 PM - 11:30 PM
  (all day and evening access privileges)
• Sunday 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  (all day in and out privileges).

• A guide will board your motor coach dressed in authentic Bavarian costume and direct a three hour tour of the historical areas and points of interest surrounding Alpine Helen.
