It is time to "Oompah"! What’s oompah,
you say? Come to Alpine Helen and find out at Bavarian
Nights of Summer. An oompah band featuring Bavarian music will
get your toes tapping and soon
you will be up dancing a polka...it is very contagious!
Bavarian Nights of Summer starts Saturday
June 14 and runs through August 9. It takes place every
Saturday evening from 7:00-11:00 p.m. in our outdoor beer
garden at the Helen Chamber of
Commerce Festhalle.

The bands are crowd pleasers with German favorites
like "Roll Out the
Barrel" as well as some familiar American tunes. The festival
is much like Oktoberfest, but on
a smaller scale. Grilled wurst topped with sauerkraut along with
imported and domestic beers and wines add flavor
to the evening.
